QSランキング

QSランキングとは、イギリスの大学評価機関Quacquarelli Symondsが発表している世界の大学ランキングです。

今年は9月15日に公表され、総合分野でNational University of Singapore (NUS)が
去年の22位から12位、Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU)が
昨年39位から13位へ大躍進し、話題になりました。

評価指標は各国学者の評価、雇用者の評価、学生一人当たりの教員比率、
教員一人当たりの論文引用数、外国人教員の比率、留学生比率と多岐にわたります。

ちなみに、日本勢。東大39位、京大38位でした。

シンガポールは2015QS Best Student Citiesでも15位に選ばれています。

若干物価の高さが足を引っ張っているようですが．．．

金融、貿易、交通、情報など、あらゆる分野のハブを目指し、
実現しているシンガポール。
教育のハブも大切な政策の一つです。

The National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) 
have risen their position among the worldwide universities, according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings for 2015/2016 released on 15 Sep. 

NUS came in 12th position and NTU jumped to 13th position from 22nd and 39th respectively.  
As for Universities in Japan, Tokyo University is 39th and Kyoto University positions themselves at 38th.  

Singapore is also chosen as 15th in 2015 QS Best Student Cities.  Possible to go higher 
but living expenses drag their legs…
